Teal blue tourmaline and 22k gold post earrings

These earrings were handmade by me in my studio.

Gorgeous teal-blue tourmalines with green undertones were set in 22k gold. The  rounded, more organic shapes of the layered sterling silver backplates soften the geometrical lines of the design. The textured surface of the metal adds a sparkle and depth to the design. Three little gold discs balance the look. The earrings have sterling silver posts and are fastened with butterfly friction closures.
