Kyanite and Tanzanite layered pendant

This one of a kind statement pendant was handmade by me in my studio.

The kyanite has a natural flowing shape and a beautiful blue grey colour, the blue semi-transparent tanzanite with its lilac undertones adds a lovely contrast. The two stones were individually set in fine silver and backed by a multi-layered sterling silver setting. The rounded shapes of the setting remind me of the lines created by waves in the sand on the beach.

A small link gives this pendant some movement, the bail is hidden behind the tanzanite. The sterling silver was oxidised and polished to a light grey, the piece is marked with my maker's stamp.
