This unique Moonstone pendant was handmade by me in my studio.
This piece started with a series of late night sketches. I usually don't work from drawings, but these designs looked good and I decided to recreate them in metal.
A pure white moonstone is surrounded by a shimmering texture and guarded by metal "rays". The little silver bars were individually cut, filed and textured - one is layered with 22k gold for colour contrast. A delicate sterling silver frame anchors the design and creates visual tension through a play with negative space. A little rectangular garnet serves as accent stone, the modernist spiral bail complements the look perfectly.
