Teal and ochre tourmaline in 22k gold post earrings

These earrings were handmade by me in my studio

I am in love with this colour combination of warm ochre, bright teal and 22k gold.

The ochre tourmalines have asymmetrical, organic shapes, these stones were not cut but tumbled. The teal stones have a softly rounded triangular shape and a smooth surface. The stones were set in 22k gold on textured sterling silver backplates, little 22k gold discs visually connect the two elements. These earrings are fastened with sterling silver posts and butterfly friction closures.
