22k gold and red spinel ring, size 6

This unique ring was handmade by me in my studio.

It started with a modified Midas band: 24k gold dust was fused to sterling silver which was then hammered, carved and textured to create the substantial band. A richly textured sterling setting backs the focal stone, a gorgeous, deep red spinel set in 22k gold. The combination of the raw strength of the metalwork with the exquisite delicacy of the stone creates a powerful statement piece.
