Aquamarine statement ring, 22k gold setting, size 7.25

This statement ring was handmade by me in my studio The design of this ring evolved completely around the stone: I was so happy when I found this wonderful large aquamarine cabochon, coloured in the softest blue-green hues with an amazing inner glow. It is not a perfect stone, it has a small inclusion, a little spec floating within, but this imperfection adds to its uniqueness. I set it in hammered 22k gold, and added two small sterling silver slabs, created by melting and forging recycled silver directly on the charcoal block, as a backdrop for the setting. The irregularly shaped band completes the organic and earthy feel of his piece. It is a powerful ring, not subtle or demure but with its very own character, beautiful and bold. As most mazulou items this ring is one of a kind, once it is gone it is gone.
