Labradorite statement ring, size 7.25

This unusual and unique sterling silver and labradorite ring was handmade by me in my studio.

This piece started with the band: It was created by melting recycled sterling silver directly on the charcoal block and forming it while still red hot. The raw shank was then further shaped by hammering and carving. The geometrically cut labradorite with its beautiful blue-green flash is a great contrast to the organic feel of the band.
This ring was oxidized to enhance the contrasting surface structures, the edge of the fine silver bezel was textured to add some sparkle.
This is an unusual piece, contrasting, powerful and truly one of a kind.
