Raw silver stacked post earrings

These earrings were handmade by me in my studio. Sometimes you can't beat the raw, unrefined power of a piece of metal formed by fire and steel. For these earrings I didn't even try: Two little slabs of recycled sterling silver, created by melting and forging the silver while read hot, were combined to form these stacked post earrings. All sharp edges and pointy endings were filed and smoothed by hand, the earrings were oxidized and polished and voilà: a perfectly imperfect set of unique earrings, a bit edgy and ideal for everyday wear.
