Raw silver stacked post earrings

These earrings were handmade by me in my studio. Sometimes you can't beat the raw, unrefined power of a piece of metal formed by fire and steel and for these earrings I didn't even try: Two little slabs of recycled sterling silver, created by melting silver and forging it while still read hot, were combined to form these layered post earrings. All sharp edges and pointy endings were filed and sanded by hand, the earrings were oxidized and polished and voilà: a perfectly imperfect set of unique earrings with a cool and slightly dark feel.
